As part of the Horizon 2020 SENDER project, the consortium has submitted a detailed letter offering recommendations and feedback on the draft “Royal Decree approving the General Regulation of Supply and Contracting, and establishing the conditions for marketing, aggregation, and consumer protection in the electricity market.”

The SENDER consortium supports the Spanish government’s initiative to allow aggregators to participate in the electricity market, recognizing their key role in enabling consumer engagement in a more decentralized energy system. The consortium highlights several important aspects of the draft, including the aggregator contracting process, data exchange, and consumer protection. Furthermore, it provides insights on how independent aggregators can enhance transparency and improve flexibility in the Spanish electricity market.

We invite you to read the full letter for a deeper understanding of these recommendations and how they could contribute to shaping a more transparent, efficient, and flexible electricity market in Spain.
